Ten Cruden volunteers ran in the Birchwood 10k in August 2011 to raise funds for the local Warrington Charity Brainwave.

Brainwave is charity aimed at realising the potential of children with developmental, brain injuries or genetic conditions aged between 6 months and 12 years. The services they provide are mostly dependant on donations so every penny raised for the charity make a real lasting impact on the lives of the children they help and their families.

Runners from Cruden were delighted to raise over £700 for Brainwave and take part in the 10k road race around the Birchwood area.

The Cruden team consisted of Audrey Headspith, Steve Woolnough, Daniel Davidson, Emma Jayne, Brown, Kerry Upton and John Dean who all completed the course on a very sunny Sunday morning in August 2011.

Well done to the runners and thank you to all those collegues, friends and family who supported them.
