Whilst most have complained about the recent heavy rain it's certainly brought a smile to the Cruden team who were responsible for planting the innovative Cruden Wildflower garden in the grounds of our head office. This June it has burst in to life after a great mix of sunshine and showers.
As reported back in November 2010 the Cruden team planted a whole host of bulbs and wildflowers seeds that budded from an innovative 'green' staff idea from Accounts Clerk Jacquie Taylor. The brilliant idea not only won Jacquie title of innovator of the month in October 2010 but it also brought together many staff for a planting afternoon, of course followed by a cuppa and biscuit after all the hard work.
The hard work paid off and this June the garden has come in to full bloom bringing some beautiful wild flowers, butterflies and bees to Cruden.
We are all hoping for the sunshine to return so more staff can enjoy a lunch break or two in a very wild garden that provides colour and a wildlife habitat all through the season.
