Members of Liverpool Best Practice Club visited Cruden Construction's Code for Sustainable Homes Code 4 project at Kingshead Close, Castlefields, Runcorn on Thursday 8th July 2010.

The project, one of two Code 4 schemes on the Castlefields Estate, being completed for Plus Dane Housing, is the latest in a series of projects that has delivered some 534 new homes since 2002.

Members of the Best Practice Club learned how Cruden, Plus Dane and the Design Team have together developed the scheme to achieve Code 4 featuring Closed Panel Timber Frame Superstructures, Vailiant Solar Thermal Panels and NIBE Exhaust Air Heat Pumps to provide more efficient, less energy consuming hot water, space heating and ventilation in the 33 new homes
