Training

It is an established fact that a company is only as good as the people who work for it, and never has this found greater resonance than in today’s construction industry. To achieve our goals we place the highest importance on identifying talented people and providing them with space and opportunity to succeed.

We have adopted ‘Constructing Excellence’ ‘Respect for People’ recommendations and understand that training contributes significantly to performance, job fulfillment and staff retention.

We have met the requirements of the prestigious Investor in People programme. This accreditation recognises that we

• Promote lifelong learning and career development
• Ensure an annual appraisal is undertaken with each employee.
• Produce an annual training plan.
• Measure and review performance annually
• Provide open access to training for every employee

Many of our staff are professionally qualified having completed recognised higher and further education courses or qualifications under industry recognised professional bodies. The company supports staff in continuous professional development training and in achievement of Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) registration.

We have over 30 apprentices and trainees on our books and look to develop our own staff wherever possible. As part of our investment in staff we have recently launched a Talent Development Programme - ‘Escalate’ - which encompasses such themes as recognition, nurturing, supporting and growing talent.
