It is an established fact that a company is only as good as the people who work for it, and never has this found greater resonance than in today's construction industry. To achieve our goals we place the highest importance on identifying talented people and providing them with space and opportunity to succeed.
We understand that training contributes significantly to performance, job fulfillment and staff retention and we have met the requirements of the Investor in People programme which recognises that we:
- Promote lifelong learning and career development
- Annually appraise each employee.
- Measure and review performance annually
- Provide open access to training for every employee
- Provide mentoring and support
- Produce, fund and undertake an annual training plan
Many of our staff are professionally qualified having completed recognised higher and further education courses or qualifications under industry recognised professional bodies.
We support our staff in continuous professional development training and in achievement of Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) registration. We have over 20 apprentices and trainees on our books and look to develop our own staff wherever possible.
On many of our schemes we recruit local people to join our teams, teaching new skills of value to them and the community.
